Dancing to Honour event focuses on MMIWG, LGBTQ2SIA+

As part of Indigenous Peoples Month, 13 dancers from coast to coast will gather online in a unique event Dancing to Honour. The event is sponsored by the UBC Transform Health Justice research cluster (which includes partners such as the School of Nursing, and Faculty of Medicine), the Saa-ust Centre and the Indian Residential School Survivors Society. 

The purpose of the dance is to honour, uplift and support the families and Survivors affected by the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG), and in support of LGBTQ2SIA+.

When: Friday, June 26 at 5 p.m.

Where: Online via Zoom
