2021 Campaign Highlights

Events and activities honouring Orange Shirt Day | National Day for Truth and Reconciliation at UBC in 2021 included an intergenerational march hosted by STEM facilities, an all-day Sacred Fire Ceremony at the UBC Farm hosted by Land and Food Systems, and film screenings featuring Phyllis Webstad and Carey Newman, hosted by the IRSHDC and partners. Orange and white banners with the phrase ‘Every Child is Important’ in hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and ‘Every Child Matters’ in English were installed on campus and at Musqueam.
