Upcoming workshops focusing on Indigenous-university partnerships and research

One key challenge to collaboration between universities and Indigenous communities is ensuring an equitable partnership takes place. This upcoming workshop series focuses on university-based researchers working with Indigenous communities to foster collaboration, share knowledge and data, and ensure the process is equitable.

The Indigenous/Science Research Cluster is presenting the series of workshops beginning September 25 with “You can’t manage what you don’t know: Heiltsuk Traditional Use and site mapping,” featuring guest speaker Elroy White  / Q̌íx̌itasu (Heiltsuk).

The series takes place on Fridays throughout the term from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Zoom.
